Conversion to the hybrid cloud: security first.
In just a few years, the hybrid cloud has become the dominant IT architecture and operating model.
A recent Hewlett Packard Enterprise study found that more than 90% of large enterprises host their workloads in both private and public clouds and on-premises data centers.
Yet securing these workloads has become more difficult than ever. In a new Ponemon Institute study commissioned by HPE, just 44% of organizations said they were able to protect their systems in today’s ever-changing threat environment, down from 52% a year earlier. Additionally, 63% of organizations said they were unable to track the activity of every user and device connected to their infrastructure, and 37% said they struggled to verify the security of their applications and workloads.
