Do you trust the security of your hybrid cloud?

While organizations continue to demonstrate a compelling interest in the strategic and operational value that hybrid cloud brings (91% now use a hybrid model in some form1 ), their confidence is more mixed in terms of security. When asked which enterprise architecture is the most secure, 75% of respondents in a recent HPE hybrid cloud survey felt that the private cloud had the “right level of security,” followed by on-site architecture with 63%.

Only 60% of enterprises consider the three-pronged hybrid approach (on-premises, private cloud, and public cloud) to be the most secure. This is not surprising. It makes sense that the more environments you manage, the more complex securing them becomes. While it’s true that protecting data on-premises and in the cloud requires slightly different approaches, hybrid cloud security relies heavily on following certain fundamental practices. Let’s look at the five most common hybrid cloud security challenges and how you can mitigate them.
