The New Era of Compliance with Web Accessibility

The increasingly common technique of optimizing websites and programs so that users with impairments can fully utilize such resources is known as web accessibility. In fact, the W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) set a variety of web standards that IT teams can adhere to in order to create accessible websites and apps.

Some businesses and government entities are also required by law to be accessible. A few examples of regional laws requiring government entities and other organizations to be accessible to people with disabilities include the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ACA), and EN 301 549. But without a global web accessibility standard, digital platforms would find it difficult to take care of various compliance standards.
