Skype Offers a Look at the Business Developer Kit

Skype for Business SDK (software developer kit) was introduced by Microsoft to support Skype’s ongoing penetration of the enterprise. The new offering is a collection of tools that let developers for iOS and Android to include Skype’s voice, audio, and messaging features into their mobile apps. Microsoft’s Skype for Business SDK aims to enable Skype to power applications’ communications experiences so that developers can concentrate on creating the distinctive aspects of their products. The SDK’s primary purpose is to power what Microsoft refers to as remote advisor solutions, which enable customers of Skype for Business—formerly known as Microsoft Lync—to incorporate communications from outside visitors into consumer iOS and Android apps.
