Nod.ai, a renowned expert in open-source AI software, has announced its definitive agreement to be acquired by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). By accelerating the deployment of optimized AI solutions on their high-performance platforms, such as AMD Instinct data center accelerators, Ryzen AI CPUs, EPYC processors, Versal SoCs, and Radeon GPUs, this strategic step is expected to strengthen AMD’s open-source software strategy. The acquisition is in line with AMD’s larger AI growth plan, which aims to provide an open software environment that makes it easier for customers to deploy AI models through developer tools, libraries, and models.
